Prosecutors: Ex-Bima Police Chief Sent Family on Umrah Using Drug Proceeds
The Public Prosecutor (JPU) has stated that the former Chief of Bima Kota Police, Didik Putra Kuncoro, sent his family to the Holy Land for Umrah using proceeds from the sale of methamphetamine (shabu) from the drug network led by Koko Erwin, also known as Erwin Iskandar.
The prosecutor’s statement was cited from the Case Tracking Information System (SIPP) of the Raba Bima District Court regarding the narcotics case involving defendant Didik Putra Kuncoro, case number 187/Pid.Sus/2026/PN Rbi.
“Yes, it is in accordance with the public prosecutor’s indictment,” said the Spokesperson for the West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor’s Office, Harun Al Rasyid, in Mataram on Tuesday (7/7).
He explained that the indictment against Didik Putra Kuncoro was read today before the panel of judges during the first hearing held at the Raba Bima District Court.
The indictment details that on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, the defendant used money from the sale of methamphetamine from Koko Erwin’s network. The prosecution alleges that the defendant used these funds for personal interests, specifically to register for the Umrah pilgrimage for himself and a group of family members.
The indictment specifies that the group sent for Umrah consisted of seven people. In addition to the defendant, the group included his wife, Miranti Afriani; his biological mother, Sri Darmijati; his mother-in-law, A. Yundayani; two of his biological children, Yakno Adnan Prabu Radite Kuncoro and Bintang Devdan Rayendra Kuncoro; and the Head of Public Relations for the Bima Kota Police, Baiq Fitrianingshi.
The prosecution further stated that the group travelled to the Holy Land through a travel agency named Uhud Tour, located in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, incurring costs of Rp434.5 million for a departure on 15 February 2026.
Furthermore, the indictment details that the defendant, Didik, received payments from Koko Erwin totalling Rp2.8 billion. The role of A Hamid, alias Boy, who is identified as part of Koko Erwin’s network, was also revealed. Communication regarding the criminal conspiracy was facilitated through an intermediary, Malaungi, who held the position of Head of the Narcotics Investigation Unit at the Bima Kota Police at the time.
The indictment alleges that the defendant, Didik, received money from the methamphetamine sales in stages. In the conclusion of the indictment, the prosecutor charged Didik with involvement in the misuse and criminal conspiracy regarding the distribution and sale of narcotics, as regulated under Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics in conjunction with Law Number 1 of 2023 regarding the Criminal Code.
