Prosecutors charge former Customs official with accepting gratuities from Blueray Cargo

Former Customs and Excise intelligence section head Budiman Bayu Prasojo has been formally charged with accepting gratuities from import and customs service company Blueray Cargo Group, as well as other parties whose business activities were linked to the Directorate of Enforcement and Investigation at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, Ministry of Finance. The charges were read out at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Tuesday. Budiman, who previously served as Head of the Customs Intelligence Section at the directorate, is accused of receiving the gratuities in various currencies.
