Prosecutors arrested for drugs
JAKARTA: City police revealed on Monday that they have
arrested four employees of West Jakarta Prosecutor's Office for
the alleged possession of drugs.
One of the four, Rudi, was a former staff member of the
office's administration section, who had been discharged from
service on Sept. 6, 2001, after being absent for three months.
City police spokesman, Sr. Comr. Anton Bachrul Alam, was
quoted by detik.com as saying the three others were prosecutors
Agung and Bambang, and Martha who worked in the office's evidence
section.
"We discovered their involvement in illegal drug cases," said
Anton, adding they were arrested separately on Sunday for the
possession of 42 grams of shabu-shabu (crystal methamphetamine)
and 25 grams of MDMA, the raw material used in ecstasy tablets.
