The hearing for the defamation case against the Sundanese ethnic group committed by YouTuber Resbob has been postponed. The man, named Adimas Firdaus Putra Nasihan, was supposed to undergo the prosecution stage at the Bandung District Court (PN Bandung). Observations by detikJabar on Monday (6/4/2026) showed that Resbob was actually brought to Room II Wirjono Prodjodikoro at PN Bandung. However, the public prosecutor (JPU) then decided to postpone the reading of the indictment because the files were not yet ready. “With permission, Your Honour, we are not ready for the reading of the indictment. We must first consult with the Attorney General’s Office and request time for the next week,” said the JPU at PN Bandung, as reported by detikJabar. The JPU requested that the indictment could be read the following week. However, the panel of judges at PN Bandung rejected the proposal and required the indictment to be read on Wednesday (8/4/2026). “We take the position that the indictment be read on Wednesday, 8 April 2026,” said the panel of judges. The judge requested that the indictment be read immediately so that Resbob’s lawyers have time to prepare the defence note or plea. The panel also requested that Resbob be present in person when the indictment is read.
