Proposal for New Transjakarta Route Extending to Bogor: Here's the Leaked Details
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Bogor Mayor Dedie Abdu Rachim has spoken out regarding plans for Transjakarta to enter Bogor City, specifically Terminal Bubulak, where he is proposing the establishment of a Transjabodetabek route from Jakarta to Terminal Bubulak.
Dedie stated that his side is currently discussing with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) the opening of the Transjabodetabek route from Jakarta to Terminal Bubulak.
“I have already held an audience with the Governor of DKI Jakarta (Pramono Anung) regarding plans to open a new route to Terminal Bubulak from Jakarta,” said Dedie to CNBC Indonesia on Sunday (12/4/2026).
Furthermore, he revealed that there is already an operator related to Transjakarta interested in filling the route. However, his side did not explain who the operator is.
“There is already a Transjakarta operator interested in filling the route to Terminal Bubulak,” he continued.
When asked whether it would be inaugurated and operational in the near future, his side responded that only the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and Transjakarta know about that.
“Hopefully in the near future, but that is back to the domain of the Jakarta Provincial Government together with Transjakarta,” he said.
Dedie wants the new route because, drawing from the success of the Transjabodetabek P11 route from Blok M to Bogor (Botani Square), where public enthusiasm for using the Transjabodetabek route is quite high.
“The Transjabodetabek P11 route has quite high demand, both on weekdays and holidays, always full, so this might be a consideration for the need for Transjabodetabek to Terminal Bubulak,” he explained.
