Property Developer Opens First Branch in Semarang
Property developer Linktown is expanding its business network by opening a new branch in Semarang, Central Java. The branch aims to strengthen property market penetration in the Joglosemar region (Yogyakarta-Solo-Semarang), which is deemed to have significant growth potential.
The Semarang office is Linktown’s eighth nationwide branch and its first in Central Java. Previously, Linktown’s operational bases were in Bekasi, BSD, Kota Wisata, Surabaya, By Walk, Bandung, and Bali.
Co-Founder Abel Andy Kurniajaya stated that the expansion into Semarang is driven by high demand for property in Central Java, particularly in Semarang, Solo, and Yogyakarta. Additionally, the increasing number of developers partnering exclusively with Linktown has bolstered the company’s confidence in expanding its business network in the region.
“Semarang is one of the fastest-developing cities, supported by comprehensive infrastructure including ports, airports, and an integrated toll road network across Java. We see significant potential for property transaction growth in this area,” Abel said in a statement on Tuesday (26 May).
Before establishing a physical office in Semarang, Linktown began online business operations in 2025. Through loan takeover and mortgage (KPR) services, the company recorded transactions worth Rp28.5 billion from 18 deals.
According to Abel, this achievement is a strong indicator that Semarang’s property market has promising prospects. “The physical branch is expected to bridge team requirements and enhance the company’s focus on selling both primary and secondary properties,” he explained.
On the macroeconomic front, Co-Founder Deryan Nataniel assessed that Semarang has a strong market foundation. The city’s economic growth reached 6.49% in 2025, making it one of Central Java’s main business hubs. “Supported by local developer growth, high economic activity and population density also drive property demand,” he added.
