The owner of a property development company, PT Hoki, with the initials SDN, claims to have received a series of threats. This intimidation occurred after the victim reported an intelligence officer from the Bantul Police, with the initials S, to the Yogyakarta Regional Police on Wednesday, February 18th. Due to the escalating threats, the victim returned to the Yogyakarta Regional Police today.

The victim’s lawyer, Hermansyah Bakrie, stated that they had officially reported S to the Yogyakarta Regional Police last week. The report concerns allegations of threats and extortion.

Hermansyah explained that the alleged extortion was carried out by S and several members of a mass organisation by occupying the client’s office. In addition, S is also accused of damaging the office’s CCTV.

“Regarding the criminal act, it is a matter of alleged extortion and threats. S and his associates, in collaboration with a mass organisation, occupied our client’s office, causing damage, destroying CCTV, and demanding money,” said Hermansyah when contacted by reporters on Monday, February 23rd, 2026.

However, after taking legal action, the victim instead received various threats. Hermansyah revealed that three mysterious men claiming to be members of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Reskrim) visited the client’s house, threatening to arrest the victim on the grounds that there were many reports filed against him.

“Three people came to our client’s house, claiming to be from the Criminal Investigation Unit. They said that the third person would carry out the arrest because there were many reports,” said Hermansyah.

The threats did not stop there. A member of a mass organisation, with the initials D, also allegedly sent threats. Hermansyah stated that D, who pretended to be a lawyer, intimidated people at PT Hoki by causing a commotion, slamming tables, and deliberately parking an ambulance in the client’s office area.

“They slammed tables and brought an ambulance to be placed in our client’s office. However, if he is truly a lawyer, his actions should be polite and in accordance with legal procedures,” he said.

It was later discovered that D did not have official legal status as a lawyer. This prompted the victim to return to the Yogyakarta Regional Police today, Monday, February 23rd, to report the mass organisation member.

“Because they caused a disturbance by claiming to be a lawyer, we will report the individual with the initials D,” he said.

In addition to reporting D, the victim also sent an official letter to the Chief of the Yogyakarta Regional Police.

“In response to the series of threats, we reported the mass organisation leader, D, who claims to be a lawyer, today. In addition, we also submitted a letter requesting legal protection directly to the Chief of the Yogyakarta Regional Police,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Yogyakarta Regional Police, Kombes Ihsan, has not yet responded when contacted regarding the CCTV damage allegedly carried out by S. He also has not responded to the report and request for protection as a witness filed by SDN today.

It is known that the Yogyakarta Regional Police has deactivated and placed the member of the Bantul Police Intelligence Unit, with the initials S, under special assignment (Patus). He was reported by a property development company in Bantul for alleged extortion and threats.

This is stated in the Security Order Number: Sprin. Pam/1/II/2026, dated February 20th, 2026. The Yogyakarta Regional Police carried out the special assignment and deactivated the individual in order to carry out an examination by the Professional and Internal Affairs Division (Bidpropam).

“We would like to inform you that the individual is currently undergoing special assignment and has been removed from his duties in order to be examined by the Bidpropam,” said the Head of Public Relations of the Yogyakarta Regional Police, Kombes Ihsan, in a statement on Friday, February 20th.

Ihsan revealed that after receiving the complaint from the complainant, the Bidpropam of the Yogyakarta Regional Police immediately moved to examine several witnesses.

“Including examining the reported individual as a form of commitment and seriousness of the Yogyakarta Regional Police in handling the case in order to maintain the integrity and dignity of the institution,” he said.

Furthermore, he emphasised that the Yogyakarta Regional Police will not tolerate any form of violation committed by its members. The Police is also fully committed to handling the case transparently and accountably.

“We ensure that the process will run professionally and accountably as a form of our commitment to the public,” he said.
