The viral video, lasting 2 minutes and 2 seconds, shows a man riding a motorbike passing in front of the private home of the Palopo Mayor. The man then turns around and stops in front of the house while carrying a machete. Afterwards, he attempts to open the gate door, but it is locked, so he only shouts. Dedi explained that in this case, his side has conducted an investigation and examined the police officer. “We have called other witnesses to validate the existing data and information,” he said. The police member suspected of carrying the machete is initialled SL, who was recently transferred to Palopo Police Resort. Previously, said Dedi, SL was stationed at Enrekang Police Resort. “From Enrekang, newly transferred to Palopo,” he clarified. This case has been handled by the Propam of Palopo Police Resort to uncover the motive and chronology of the incident. “Yes, it has been handled by Propam and is still under investigation; further developments will be informed,” he said.
