Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Jakarta Experience Board (JXB), together with Astindo DKI Jakarta, has partnered with the Jakarta Provincial Tourism and Creative Economy Office (Disparekraf) to launch a range of promotions during Ramadhan to Eid al-Fitr through the ‘Mudik ke Jakarta’ programme.

“Through this programme, we want to ensure that Jakarta is not only a transit hub but also an attractive holiday destination with a variety of exciting and memorable experiences. A number of special promotions have been prepared to attract visitors,” said Siti Fauziah, Senior Manager of Product Marketing and Promotions at PT Jakarta Tourisindo (Perseroda), in Jakarta on Friday.

As part of the promotional strategy, Disparekraf DKI Jakarta, together with JXB and Astindo DKI Jakarta, held a Table Top Tourism Package event for Mudik ke Jakarta in Semarang, Central Java.

This activity brings together Jakarta’s tourism industry players with regional business partners in a Business to Business (B2B) format to broaden networks and introduce exclusive travel packages.

The packages offered in the Mudik ke Jakarta Programme are as follows:

  1. Hotel Promo

Special stay programme Buy 2 Get 3 at more than 30 selected hotels.

  1. Shopping and Transport Vouchers

ITC Group shopping vouchers and special city transport rates from Golden Bird Group.

  1. Special Destination Prices

Exclusive offers for more than 10 premier destinations, including Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, and Up at Thamrin Nine.

  1. Transport Promo

Special prices for travellers using Citilink services from 24 cities to Jakarta and promo packages from KAI Wisata.

  1. City Tour & Walking Tour

City sightseeing and walking tour packages at attractive prices with Step Into Jakarta.

Additionally, Fauziah said visitors can enjoy iconic Jakarta destinations such as Kota Tua, Ancol, Pancoran Chinatown, Pasar Baru, and Cikini, as well as a variety of shopping and culinary venues.

“Experiencing city tours is also made more comfortable with modern transport such as MRT Jakarta and a range of arts and cultural performances that enrich the Ramadhan and Eid atmosphere,” Fauziah said.

As one of Jakarta’s pride icons, Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) also hosted the Ramadan Stadium Tour programme, open to the public and to groups (schools, communities, universities, and companies).

Fauziah noted that this programme gives the public the opportunity to enjoy the stadium’s grandeur via tours of the main pitch, Warming Up Room, Sky View Deck, Press Conference Room, Royal Lounge, and other facilities.

In addition to exclusive promotions, visitors can also explore various iconic destinations such as Kota Tua, Ancol, Pancoran Chinatown, Pasar Baru, Cikini, and a range of shopping and culinary centres.

Visitors can also enjoy a unique MRT experience and a variety of arts and cultural performances designed to enrich the Eid al-Fitr celebrations in Jakarta.

With the expanding reach of promotions to various regions, the programme is expected to increase tourist numbers visiting Jakarta during the Eid period and provide a positive impact on the tourism sector and the capital’s creative economy.
