Promoting Women's Roles, BRI Receives 3 Infobank 500 Most Outstanding Women 2026 Awards
The list of inspirational women figures released in the April 2026 edition of Infobank Magazine serves as an appreciation for the roles of women in various sectors, from finance and state-owned enterprises to the public domain. As part of this appreciation, Infobank Media Group presented awards to these inspirational women at the Infobank 500 Most Outstanding Women 2026 Appreciation Night, themed Women, Art & Society: The Creative Power of Indonesian Women, held at Wisma Batari, Surakarta, on Friday (17/4/2026).
At the event, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk received several awards given to its management team in recognition of women’s leadership in the national banking industry. BRI’s Vice President Director Viviana Dyah Ayu was awarded The Future Women Leader 2026, while BRI’s Director of Treasury & International Banking Farida Thamrin and Director of Risk Management Ety Yuniarti each received The Most Outstanding Women in Banking Industry awards.
These awards reflect the quality of women’s leadership within BRI, which is continuously strengthened through an inclusive and performance-oriented work culture. The recognition also affirms the company’s commitment to promoting women’s roles as drivers of the economy, particularly in the MSME sector that forms the foundation of the people’s economy.
BRI’s Director of Risk Management Ety Yuniarti stated that the award serves as a reflection of BRI’s commitment to strengthening women’s leadership, while also encouraging women’s roles as drivers of an inclusive and sustainable economy.
“BRI provides equal opportunities for women to develop and take on strategic roles, both within the organisation and in empowering the MSME sector. Through these roles, women are expected to drive more inclusive, productive, and sustainable business growth,” said Ety.
Currently, BRI has 36,000 female employees, equivalent to 43% of its total 86,000 workforce. This composition makes BRI an inclusive and conducive work environment for women to develop and realise their best potential.
Not only in terms of numbers, women’s roles at BRI are also increasingly prominent in leadership positions. To date, 25.63% of BRI’s female employees occupy managerial positions, from junior managers to top management.
The awards received by BRI’s management team represent the spirit of modern Kartini figures who boldly take on strategic roles. With strong competencies, these female leaders are able to create broad impacts, not only for the organisation but also for more inclusive civilisational progress.
Quoting Infobank’s official publication, the 500 Most Outstanding Women 2026 list features women who have succeeded as leaders in various fields. Their presence demonstrates that women now hold strong positions in strategic decision-making. This also reinforces the trend of increasing female leadership in Indonesia.
