Promoting Sustainability, Pertagas OSSA Wins PROPER Gold Award 2025

PT Pertamina Gas Operation South Sumatera Area (OSSA), or Pertagas OSSA, has received a gold ranking award from the Ministry of Environment (KLH) in the Company Performance Rating Programme (PROPER) for 2025. The PROPER Gold award is the highest accolade given to companies with superior performance in environmental management, sustainability, and social responsibility. The award was presented directly by the Minister of Environment (BPLH)/Head of the Environmental Management Agency (BPLH) Hanif Faisol Nurofiq to the company’s representatives at the PROPER Environmental Awards event in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Jakarta, on Tuesday (7/4/2026). The company achieved this recognition through the successful implementation of the MOAL (Optimisation Method) Programme, particularly in fulfilling gas demand in Open Access Pipelines, which achieved energy savings of 1,061.87 GJ. Additionally, another innovation is SUATCONE 2.0 (Substitution of Groundwater with Engine Coolant) in the Cooling System of the Power Generator at SKG Benuang, which saved 38.6 cubic metres of water. Furthermore, the PESONA Programme (Organic Pesticide Sidomulyo from Waste and Cow Urine) reduced food waste by 0.022 tonnes. For information, PT Pertamina Gas Operation South Sumatera Area (OSSA), previously known as PT Pertamina Gas South Sumatra, is one of the Operating Areas of PT Pertamina Gas in Indonesia, operating gas transmission-distribution pipelines in the South Sumatra region. PT Pertamina Gas OSSA is responsible for distributing natural gas as raw material for PT Pupuk Sriwijaya fertiliser and natural gas as fuel for the Kilang Refinery Unit-III Plaju of PT Pertamina (Persero).
