Promoting Quality Government Spending, Luhut and LKPP Launch Master Products & SIPD RI Integration
Jakarta, VIVA – The Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Agency (LKPP) has officially launched Master Products and commenced the Kick-Off Integration of the Electronic Catalogue with the Regional Government Information System (SIPD RI).
LKPP Head, Sarah Sadiqa, explained that this step is taken as a concrete strategy to improve procurement governance while synchronising spending processes with regional financial systems on an end-to-end basis.
Through Master Products, LKPP positions brand owners or principals as the single source of truth for data. Thus, all information—from product names and technical specifications to price references in the Electronic Catalogue—must refer to data validated by the brand authority holder.
Sarah believes this step will effectively eliminate data inconsistencies and price disparities, which have long been challenges in government goods/services procurement.
“Electronic Catalogue Version 6 is not merely a marketplace but the backbone of the national digital procurement ecosystem based on data,” Sarah stated in her remarks on Monday, 4 May 2026.
With Master Products as the single source of truth, LKPP emphasised that it is not only building a system but also shaping a new culture in government spending management that is more modern, accountable, and results-oriented to realise the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision.
Furthermore, Sarah conveyed that the integration of the Electronic Catalogue with SIPD RI is a crucial step in creating a fully integrated digital procurement ecosystem from upstream to downstream.
According to her, this system collaboration will create a complete data flow, from budget planning stages to regional financial accountability processes, thereby eliminating data duplication and strengthening real-time public spending transparency.
This transformation has shown tangible results in the initial implementation of master products for the laptop category, where LKPP recorded a significant increase in the quality of government spending. Through more structured data, the product curation process has become more standardised and transparent, making procurement more targeted and budget efficiency more measurable.
“Supervision through price patrols can now be conducted automatically and much more efficiently. Although it demands adaptation from providers, this policy is a crucial step to maintain the integrity and accountability of state spending amid evolving market dynamics,” she said.
