Promoting Port Industry Development, BKI Signs MoU with ABUPI
PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero), also known as BKI, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Association of Indonesian Port Authorities (ABUPI) to advance the national port industry.
BKI’s Director of Institutional and Resources, R. Agus Doddy Dwisagita, explained that this collaboration includes plans to provide testing, inspection, certification, consultancy, classification, and statutory services to support the needs of the port industry.
He stated that the partnership with ABUPI is part of BKI’s efforts to expand collaboration within the port sector.
“Through this cooperation, BKI can expand its contribution to supporting the needs of the port industry, particularly through testing, inspection, certification, consultancy, classification, and statutory services in accordance with applicable regulations,” said Doddy in a statement on Thursday, 17 September 2026.
Through this agreement, BKI and ABUPI are expected to develop collaborations relevant to industry needs, while supporting improvements in quality and compliance within port activities in Indonesia.
The signing of the MoU was conducted as part of the ABUPI Consolidation Forum, which serves as a platform for port industry players to strengthen coordination and discuss various developments within the sector.
During the event, BKI participated as a provider of testing, inspection, certification, consultancy, classification, and statutory (TICCS) services.
Representing BKI was the Director of Institutional and Resources, R. Agus Dodty Dwisagita. Representing ABUPI were General Chairperson Liana Trisnawati and members of the Central Executive Board.
This agreement marks the initial step for both parties to develop cooperation in accordance with the agreed needs and scope.
