Promoting healthy living, residents invited to NgabubuRUN Jejak Jajanan Nusantara
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Coordinating Minister for People’s Empowerment Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar has urged the public to fill the time before breaking the fast by joining a running event via the ‘NgabubuRUN’ at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Senayan, Jakarta, on Sunday.
“Although fasting, we continue to exercise; we maintain the spirit. We deliberately joined so that the rhythm of regular exercise stays on track,” Muhaimin Iskandar said.
The ‘NgabubuRUN’ event is part of the series ‘Festival Jejak Jajanan Nusantara’ (JJN).
According to him, exercising together before breaking the fast is a positive way to maintain health while strengthening togetherness during the Ramadhan month.
Muhaimin cited a simple method such as ‘Japanese Interval Walking’, namely walking fast for a while and then interspersing with leisurely walking, which has proven beneficial for health.
“We also keep exercising; there is no other way. Because with exercise we prove that being healthy adds years. Healthy means reducing expenses. Healthy means being more productive,” he said.
“Our national health expenditure is still largely on curative care, not preventive. If the enthusiasm for sport continues to burn and spreads, God willing we will significantly reduce our medical costs so that we stay healthy, God willing,” he added.
The ‘Festival Jejak Jajanan Nusantara’ offers a range of public activities, from sport to Nusantara culinary to MSME product promotion, as part of strengthening the community empowerment ecosystem.
‘Jejak Jajanan Nusantara’ will be held on 6-8 March 2026 at the South-West Parking Area, GBK, Senayan, Jakarta.
