Bangkok, (ANTARA/PRNewswire) - LIXIL, a global pioneer in sustainable water and housing solutions, through its two flagship brands, American Standard and GROHE, has once again affirmed its commitment to supporting the development of the architecture, interior design, development, real estate, and hospitality industries by becoming one of the main sponsors of the prestigious Asia Pacific Property and Hotel Awards 2026, part of the International Property Awards (IPA).

Held at the Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park in Bangkok, Thailand, this international awards event serves as a platform to appreciate industry players who are visionary and successful in delivering innovation and the best standards in their field. A total of 440 projects from various countries in the Asia Pacific region successfully received awards, announced during the gala night along with the presentation of the main awards, namely the American Standard Innovation Award, GROHE Sustainability Award, and GROHE Luxury Award.

Under the theme “Innovation,” the Asia Pacific Property and Hotel Awards 2026 highlights the importance of innovation amid changing modern societal needs and the evolving challenges of the industry. Industry players are challenged to deliver new ideas, technologies, designs, materials, and construction techniques to create housing and properties that are not only superior in aesthetics but also relevant to future needs.

The high enthusiasm of participants was evident from the total of 814 entries received. All projects were independently judged by more than 100 industry experts based on various important aspects, from aesthetics and functionality to design originality. From the judging results, Thailand became the country with the most awards, namely 116 awards, followed by China with 74 awards. Meanwhile, India received 65 awards, Singapore 48 awards, Indonesia 47 awards, Malaysia 45 awards, and Vietnam 36 awards.

Audrey Yeo, Leader of LIXIL Water Technology Asia Pacific, stated that LIXIL’s partnership with IPA, which has lasted for eight consecutive years, is a form of the company’s commitment to supporting the improvement of industry standards in the Asia Pacific region. “This year’s awards focus on innovation, which is increasingly relevant as societal needs for personal wellbeing and sustainability grow, both in housing and hotel projects. Collaboration with industry leaders enables LIXIL to continue delivering innovative solutions that address changing consumer needs and create better living experiences for homeowners and investors,” she explained.

During the event, Antoine Besseyre des Horts, Leader of LIXIL Global Design Asia, also delivered the main seminar titled “Elevating Water Experiences Through Innovation.” In his presentation, Antoine explained how innovations developed by LIXIL’s flagship brands enhance everyday water usage experiences, responding to key changes in personalisation, hygiene, and the growing trend of housing as personal spaces. “True innovation does not only focus on creating new technology, but also on how that technology can balance human needs, corporate goals, and environmental sustainability, thereby helping to realise more meaningful life aspirations,” he emphasised.

LIXIL’s commitment was also embodied through various immersive installations presented during the event. For example, American Standard officially introduced the Acacia Supasleek Collection, which features a modern slim minimalist design concept. This installation showcased various vignettes demonstrating the collection’s flexibility for both residential and hospitality needs. In addition, guests were invited to experience a virtual reality (VR)-based bathroom, allowing them to visualise bathroom designs in a personal and interactive manner in real-time.

GROHE SPA presented an innovative concept for personalisation down to the smallest details, creating a seamless and cohesive bathroom aesthetic. This well-curated space featured new expressions for customised showering experiences, led by Grohtherm Aqua Tile, Rainshower Aqua Tile, and Atrio Private Collection in striking Phantom Black.

The American Standard Innovation Award was given to the project The Oasis by line+ studio. This vertical villa project was recognised for successfully blending modern design with a sustainable lifestyle concept. Through separated layouts and tiered balcony systems, the project creates privacy and comfort in dense urban areas. In addition, the “Ecological Habitat” concept also offers a 270-degree panorama and harmonious integration between interior spaces and the surrounding natural landscape.

At the Asia Pacific Property and Hotel Awards 2026, the GROHE Luxury Award was given to the project Botanica Grand Modern Zen by Rhyme Design Group, Phuket, Thailand. Inspired by the Japanese Wabi-Sabi philosophy, this villa project redefines the “New Luxury” concept through a simple yet meaningful design approach. The flowing spatial layout harmonising with nature, along with the application of passive environmental strategies, makes this home achieve a balance between aesthetics, class, comfort, and long-term sustainability.

Meanwhile, the GROHE Sustainability Award was won by the project The Right Life by Mana Projects from Bangalore, India. This biofilic residential area integrates nature-based design with high-performance engineering systems. Referencing IGBC Gold standards, the project applies sponge city principles and a three-pipe plumbing system that enables 100% recycling of wastewater while supporting the restoration of surrounding lakes.
