Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - President Director of PT Gaya Makmur Mobil, Frankie S. Makaminang, has stated his readiness to support the electrification of the domestic mining industry. This represents one of the company’s commitments to promoting sustainability.

“Jaya Makmur, the distributor from China, has been supporting the truck and heavy equipment industry for 21 years. Previously diesel, now we have entered EV, and it has already entered several mines. We hope to support local entrepreneurs and the government as well, joining hands together to make this country green,” he said at the EV Transition in Mining Industry Outlook 2026 event on Wednesday (29/4/2026).

Electrification, according to him, is very important to implement in the mining industry. In addition to promoting sustainability, this effort is also highly efficient in supporting company business.

Therefore, Gaya Makmur Mobil is ready to collaborate to strengthen the mining electrification ecosystem in Indonesia towards a more competitive and sustainable industrial future.

“For entrepreneurs, costs should not be too expensive, because of the savings from EV trucks and heavy equipment, it can make the company last longer,” he explained.
