Promoters say Tyson fight on

KUALA LUMPUR (AFP): The promoters of a planned Mike Tyson fight in Malaysia said on Thursday the bout would go ahead even though Tyson's publicist is reportedly unaware of the event.

"The fight is still on between Tyson and an unidentified contender," said Abdul Latif, spokesman for Promote Classic, adding that March 11 is the target date.

Tyson publicist Adam Grant was quoted by projecteyeball, a Singapore-based web newspaper, as saying he knew nothing about any plans for the heavyweight to fight in Kuala Lumpur.
