Police have foiled the circulation of illegal prescription drugs in the Tenjo area, Bogor Regency, West Java. Two dealers were arrested with evidence consisting of thousands of Tramadol and Hexymer tablets. “Both perpetrators are residents of Tenjo Subdistrict. Based on initial examination results, they are suspected of playing a role in selling and distributing illegal prescription drugs without official distribution permits,” said Tenjo Police Chief Iptu Hendrik Hartono on Friday (10/4/2026). The two perpetrators, AM (27) and N (28), were arrested on Thursday (9/4) night. The arrests were a follow-up to information regarding the proliferation of illegal prescription drugs. Receiving information from the public, police immediately went to Kampung Blok Asem, Bojong Village. It was there that the two perpetrators were subsequently arrested. “From the hands of the perpetrators, officers managed to secure evidence in the form of 1,500 Hexymer tablets and 2,500 Tramadol tablets,” he stated. In addition, police seized three mobile phones used for transactions. Police also confiscated cash amounting to Rp 400,000, suspected to be the proceeds from the sale of the drugs. “This disclosure is part of the police’s commitment to eradicating the circulation of illegal prescription drugs that disturb the public,” he explained. Currently, both perpetrators along with the evidence have been brought to the police station for further legal proceedings. They will be handed over to the Bogor Police Narcotics Unit. “Tenjo Police Station urges the public not to hesitate to report any suspicious activities through the National Police call centre 110, which is active 24 hours,” he concluded.
