Projo Marks 12th Anniversary, Budi Arie Urges Members to Support Prabowo-Gibran Programmes
The Central Leadership Board (DPP) of Projo held its 12th anniversary celebration at its headquarters in the Pancoran area of South Jakarta. Projo Chairman Budi Arie called on members to support the programmes of the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
Budi Arie attended the Projo anniversary event in person alongside members. They cut a tumpeng rice cone, prayed and dined together.
“Therefore, we support the pro-people programmes of President Prabowo, or the pro-people programmes of the Prabowo-Gibran administration, by continuing to provide input and suggestions regarding improper practices,” Budi Arie said in his remarks on Sunday (23/8/2026).
Budi Arie noted that many of Prabowo’s programmes are already under way. He acknowledged there are some shortcomings in these programmes, but argued that does not mean the ideas behind them are wrong.
“Because we recognise that these mistakes are not mistakes of the idea, but rather of the execution and practices that have deviated, which of course make the public critical and questioning,” he said.
Budi Arie said Projo’s 12th anniversary represents the organisation’s significance for the journey of the nation, the state and the people’s struggle. He said the fate of the people must continue to be fought for through Projo.
“Because we want a Golden Indonesia 2045 that is advanced and based on social justice. I agree that social justice must be implemented, must be realised, not merely delivered in speeches, ceremonies and so on,” he said.
He also urged members to fully support the eradication of corruption by the Prabowo-Gibran administration. Budi Arie even raised corruption cases at Jenderal Soedirman University (Unsoed) and the Attorney General’s Office.
“We support the Prabowo-Gibran administration in eradicating corruption to its roots. If necessary, the Asset Forfeiture Law for corruptors must be realised immediately. Just recently, the latest news was that the Rector of Unsoed was arrested by the KPK. Imagine, an educational institution has been damaged like that,” Budi Arie said.
“Then regarding the Attorney General’s Office, it is the same, rogue individuals. Therefore, I hope that this Projo people’s movement must be interpreted as a way to make Indonesia better, more progressive and more just,” he added.
