Projo Chairman Urges All Cadres to Remain Optimistic Amid Global Dynamics
Projo chairman Budi Arie Setiadi has reminded party members to maintain a sense of optimism amid global dynamics. He called on all cadres to continue supporting President Prabowo’s programmes.
“We must be honest about the reality that the situation is indeed not easy, and this is not only in Indonesia. Many countries are facing the same or even more severe situations due to global tensions,” said Budi Arie during Projo’s executive board breaking of the fast, which included activities providing aid to orphans and the underprivileged on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.
Nevertheless, Budi Arie continued to encourage Projo cadres to build optimism and to actively assist the government within the organisation’s limitations. He stressed that Projo has a moral responsibility to support President Prabowo’s priority programmes.
“Projo is not merely a supporting organ for Prabowo-Gibran. We go beyond that—we are an initiator, a martyr, if you will. And I am grateful to colleagues in the regions for their consistency in supporting President Prabowo’s priority programmes. Despite all the limitations we face,” he stated.
This position aligns with President Prabowo, who has acknowledged that he and all parties are aware that the nation still faces numerous obstacles, difficulties and shortcomings.
“These shortcomings are actually shortcomings of officials, bureaucrats and personnel,” said Prabowo on Monday, 9 March.
Prabowo did not deny or fail to acknowledge those with outstanding performance. However, he also criticised those who have disappointed the public.
In this statement, President Prabowo was also acutely aware that many presidential assistants (ministries) are not meeting expectations and have failed to implement the President’s priority programmes.
