Jakarta, 10 March 2026 — The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is preparing tourism packages to several premier destinations in the capital through the “Mudik ke Jakarta” programme during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period.

Governor Pramono Anung stated that the programme has been launched to attract visitors to Jakarta during the Eid holiday season, when activity in the capital is expected to be considerably quieter.

According to him, Jakarta’s relative tranquillity can be leveraged to provide a more comfortable holiday experience whilst simultaneously promoting tourism and shopping activities. “The main tagline is ‘Jakarta is quiet, holidays and shopping are fun, profits come’,” Pramono said at Jakarta City Hall on Tuesday (10 March 2026).

To support the programme, the DKI Provincial Government is collaborating with tourism industry players to prepare various tourism packages to several popular destinations across Jakarta.

Suharini Eliawati, Assistant for Economics and Finance of DKI Jakarta, stated that the tourism packages have been prepared through collaboration with travel agency associations. “We are working with Astindo (Indonesian Travel Agents Association), among others. We are creating bundled tourism packages at TMII, Ragunan Zoo, and Ancol,” she explained.

In addition to tourism packages, the DKI Provincial Government is also preparing various promotional offers during Ramadan and Eid, including discounts at shopping centres of up to 80 per cent.

The DKI Provincial Government hopes that the programme will increase tourist arrivals and stimulate Jakarta’s economy during the Eid holiday period.
