Program launched to promote museums

JAKARTA (JP): Sapta Duta Pertiwi Foundation is scheduled to
launch a program called Gerakan Cinta Museum to promote museums
in the city in October.

Foundation chairman H.M. Ismail said the program would mainly
be for students and other youths to broaden their knowledge.

Ismail, accompanied by chairperson of the organization, Renie
Mutia E., met on Monday with Mrs. Atie Wardiman, wife of the
Minister of Education and Culture, to report about the latest
preparations for the program.

Ismail said that under the program, 10 air-conditioned buses
would be deployed from the city's five mayoralties to various
museums in the city once a week.

Participants will be guided by artists, who will provide games
related to heroism, history and the Indonesian struggle for
independence, he said.

"This activity is open to students and youths interested in
the city's museums," he said. (hhr)
