Profitability Increases, MSIG Life Drives Quality Growth
PT MSIG Life Insurance Indonesia Tbk (MSIG Life) has recorded quality growth across its key indicators throughout the first half of 2026.
Net profit increased significantly to Rp181 billion, representing a 69% year-on-year increase. The Contractual Service Margin (CSM), which reflects future profits from ongoing insurance contracts recognised gradually over the coverage period, grew by 8% year-on-year to Rp913 billion. Renewal premiums reached Rp1 trillion (+27% YoY), while Annualised Premium Equivalent (APE) was recorded at Rp691 billion.
“The first-half performance of 202ng shows that we are on the right track in driving quality business growth. This achievement is built upon disciplined cost management, strengthened operational productivity, and increased customer satisfaction,” said Herman Sulistyo, Director & Chief Strategic Distribution, Government & Partnership Officer at MSIG Life, on Friday (11/9/2026).
This performance is supported by strong capitalisation. MSIG Life’s equity reached Rp8.2 trillion, far exceeding the highest minimum requirement for insurance companies under Financial Services Authority (OJK) Regulation Number 23 of 2023, which is set at Rp1 trillion to be met by 31 December 2028.

MSIG Life also announced that PT MSIG Sharia Life Insurance Indonesia obtained a business licence from the Financial Services Authority on 22 July 2026, and has officially been operating as a separate entity since 3 August 2026.
