Idan Ofer is the richest person in Israel as of 11 March 2026, with a fortune of US$34.9 billion, up more than 50% from the previous year. His business includes operating over 210 bulk, container, and crude oil tanker ships through Eastern Pacific Shipping. His wealth also comes from a 51% stake in Israel Corp, a 32% stake in Spanish football club Atletico de Madrid, and an 85% stake in Portuguese football club FC Famalicao.
Eyal Ofer, Idan’s brother, has a net worth of US$33.1 billion from businesses in real estate, shipping, technology, banking, energy, and other investment sectors. He is the head of Monaco-based Ofer Global and owns more than 120 properties worldwide, including 15 Central Park West, 1250 Broadway, and 50 United Nations Plaza in Manhattan. Michael Federmann and his family hold a 27% stake in Elbit Systems, an Israeli defence and security technology company with sales of US$5.5 billion in 2022, through their holding company Federmann Enterprise. The family also controls a 44% stake in Dan Hotels, a public hotel chain in Israel. The Federmann family’s net worth reached US$11.3 billion as of 10 March 2026, placing them 274th on the list of the world’s richest people.
