Profile: Tina Talisa's Career Shift from Broadcasting to Politics and Pertamina Patra Niaga Commissioner Role

Social media has been abuzz with discussion surrounding one of the new commissioners of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, a subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero). The name Tina Talisa has drawn attention due to her career shift from broadcasting to politics.

Tina Talisa was appointed as a member of the Board of Commissioners of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga on 4 July 2025, based on the results of the General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPS) dated 8 July 2025. The appointment was publicly announced by Company Secretary Heppy Wulansari, who stated that the appointment was entirely within the authority of the shareholders and was expected to bring positive renewal to national energy services.

Tina Talisa has been involved in politics for the past five years.

**Profile of Tina Talisa**

Born on 24 December 1979 in Bandung, West Java, she completed her studies with a Bachelor's degree in Dentistry from Universitas Padjadjaran (2001) and a Master's degree in Communication Studies from Universitas Padjadjaran (2011).

She initially built her career in media, working as a dentist before transitioning to broadcasting, including roles as a radio presenter and later television presenter. She also received the Panasonic Gobel Awards in 2012.

**Career Transition to Government and Politics**

From March 2020 to August 2024, according to the BKPM website, Tina Talisa served as Special Staff and concurrently Spokesperson for the Ministry of Investment/BKPM, assisting with the communication of government investment policies.

On 6 December 2024, under the new administration of President Prabowo, Tina Talisa was appointed as Special Staff to Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka for the 2024–2029 period through Presidential Decree No. 83/M of 2024. She was tasked with overseeing issues related to MSMEs, digitalisation, stunting, and the Islamic economy and finance sector.

On 4 July 2025, Tina Talisa was appointed as Commissioner of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, adding to her list of strategic positions in the energy and state-owned enterprise sectors. She currently serves in her role as Special Staff to the Vice President, handling strategic government duties whilst also fulfilling her function at Pertamina Patra Niaga. The appointment was officially announced at the General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPS) on 8 July 2025.
