Profile of Telkom Property, the State-Owned Enterprise Subsidiary Where the BPS Head Serves as Commissioner

The figure of Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), has captured public attention following her announcement of economic growth for the period January–March 2026. That figure increased by 5.61 per cent year-on-year. According to BPS, the economic growth in the first quarter of 2026 is the highest compared to the same period in previous years. In addition to leading BPS, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti is known to hold the position of commissioner at PT Graha Sarana Duta, better known as Telkom Property. Based on information on the company’s official website, Amalia is listed as a Commissioner of Telkom Property, a subsidiary of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk that operates in the property development and management sector. Amalia herself was inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto as BPS Head on 19 February 2025. This appointment makes her the second woman and the 12th person to lead the national statistical data provider institution. Compiled from the company’s official website, Telkom Property is a company operating in the development, management, and provision of integrated property solutions. As part of the Telkom Group, the company plays an important role in supporting the management needs of the group’s internal property assets, while also serving the external market. At the beginning of its establishment, the company focused on building maintenance services as well as facility management for assets owned by Bank Duta. A major transformation occurred on 25 April 2001 when all of the company’s shares were acquired by PT Telkom Indonesia. This acquisition was part of Telkom’s business expansion strategy in the national property sector. In its operations, Telkom Property carries out several main business lines, including: Telkom Property is involved in managing various land and building assets owned by Telkom that are spread across several cities in Indonesia. Some of them include the management of vacant land and Automatic Telephone Exchange (STO) offices, Telkom Buildings, and Telkom Plazas. Not only that, the company has also ventured into the hospitality sector through the management of several properties, such as Mercure Nexa Bandung Supratman, Mercure Nexa Pettarani Makassar, and The Silk Hotel Bandung.
