Profile of Nanik S. Deyang, Former Journalist Now Appointed Head of National Nutrition Agency
Jakarta – The name Nanik S. Deyang has suddenly come into the public spotlight following her official appointment by President Prabowo Subimanto as the new Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). Nanik has been entrusted to replace Dadan Hindayana, who was removed from his position on Tuesday night, 2 June 2026.
The announcement regarding the change in BGN leadership was delivered directly by the Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta. “The President has decided to appoint Nanik S. Deyang as the new Head of the National Nutrition Agency,” stated Prasetyo Hadi during a press conference.
This appointment places Nanik in a pivotal role in overseeing the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme, one of the flagship initiatives of the Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka administration.
The Profile of Nanik S. Deyang
Nanik Sudaryati Deyang, known as Nanik S. Deyang, was born in Madiun, East Java, on 3 January 1968. Before becoming active in politics and government, Nanik was well-known as a senior journalist. She began her journalistic career at Tabloid Bangkit before working for various national media companies. Her career progressed from field journalism into media management.

Former Member of Prabowo’s Campaign Team
Nanik’s profile gained wider public recognition after she joined Prabowo Subianto’s campaign team during the 2019 Presidential Election. At that time, she served as the Vice Chairperson of the National Victory Body (BPN) for the Adil Makmur Coalition, supporting the Prabowo Subianto and Sandiaga Uno pairing. Her involvement within Prabowo’s political circle continued through the 2024 Presidential Election.
Following Prabowo’s victory in the 2024 election, Nanik joined the ranks of the Red and White Cabinet. Pursuant to Presidential Decree Number 145/P of 2024, Nanik was inaugurated as the Deputy Head I of the Agency for the Acceleration of Poverty Alleviation (BP Taskin) for the 2024–2029 period.
