Profile of Hendarsam Marantoko, Gerindra Politician Appointed as Director General of Immigration

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Politician from the Gerindra Party and advocate, Hendarsam Marantoko, was officially sworn in as Director General (Dirjen) of Immigration on Wednesday (1/4/2026). The oath-taking ceremony was led by the Minister of Immigration and Corrections, Agus Adrianto, at the Jusuf Adiwinata Hall of the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections (Kemen Imipas), Jakarta. Agus read the oath of office, which was followed by Hendarsam and Iwan Santoso, who was also sworn in as Special Staff for Public Services and Legal Reform. According to the IDFood website, Hendarsam Marantoko was born in Tanjung Karang on 22 December 1977. He is a graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Lampung in 2002. The Gerindra Party politician is also a graduate with a Master’s degree in Law from Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in 2020. Subsequently, he became Managing Partner at the Law Firm Rajaolan Marantoko & Partners from 2008 to 2009. Hendarsam Marantoko also served as Senior Partner at the Law Firm Wetmen Sinaga & Partners (2009-2014).
