News has suddenly emerged from the Ministry of Public Works. Director General of Cipta Karya, Dewi Chomistriana, has announced her resignation.

Dewi Chomistriana is not alone. Her colleague at the Ministry of Public Works, Dwi Purwantoro, has also chosen to resign. Dwi has relinquished his position as Director General of Water Resources.

The Ministry of Public Works has not yet officially announced the reasons for the resignation of these two high-ranking officials. For the time being, their positions are being held by the respective Secretary of the Directorate General.

For your information, Dewi Chomistriana was appointed as Director General of Cipta Karya at the Ministry of Public Works in January 2025.

The woman, born in Bandung on January 28, 1971, is a familiar face at the Ministry of Public Works. She began her career as a civil servant at the ministry after graduating from Environmental Engineering at ITB in 1994.

Like other echelon officials at the Ministry of Public Works, Dewi has also served as a commissioner at a state-owned enterprise in the construction services sector.

Her name was once listed as the President Commissioner of PT Yodya Karya (Persero), a state-owned construction consulting company, since January 2022. The company has since transformed into Agrinas Pangan Nusantara.

After leaving Yodya Karya, Dewi then accepted a commissioner position in another state-owned company. Since February 1, 2026, she has been appointed as a Commissioner of PT Krakatau Tirta Industri, a subsidiary of Krakatau Steel.
