Professor: Prabowo Has Comprehensive Understanding of National Issues

Professor Sri Rahayu, a Professor at Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang, assessed that President Prabowo Subianto possesses a comprehensive understanding of various national issues after attending the 2026 National Gathering of the Indonesian Science, Technology and Industry Convention (KSTI) in Jakarta. Sri conveyed this assessment following the convention, themed ‘Strategy for Indonesia’s Economic Independence and Welfare’, held at the Jakarta Convention Center on Friday. According to Sri, during approximately 1.5 hours listening to President Prabowo’s presentation, she judged that the head of state has mastered various fields, ranging from social, political, economic, and historical matters to agriculture. ‘The President’s knowledge is so broad, covering social, political, economic, and agricultural fields; he has such mastery. For that 1.5 hours, we did not sleep a wink, paying serious attention to what he conveyed,’ she said in a statement from the Government Communication Agency. She also admitted to being impressed after reading a book by Prabowo which, according to her, contains practical solutions to a number of national problems. Additionally, Sri said the message that left the deepest impression from the President’s presentation was the call to foster collective concern in advancing Indonesia. ‘The concern he taught us earlier is that it is our shared responsibility as children of Indonesia. We are children of Indonesia, and Indonesia must advance, must not be left behind and must not be oppressed. We must keep advancing, our spirit is with the President,’ said Sri. ‘We, the campuses or higher education institutions, are ready to be partners in every one of the President’s programmes,’ she stated.
