Production Set to Rise, 9 Upstream Oil and Gas Projects to Operate This Year
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Special Task Force for the Implementation of Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) has detailed that nine upstream oil and gas projects are targeted to commence operations (onstream) in 2026. The total investment value for these nine projects reaches US$1.319 billion.
SKK Migas Head Djoko Siswanto explained that, based on the 2026 onstream project plans, the total design capacity from eight of these projects amounts to 8,457 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and 599 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (MMSCFD).
“Our prediction is that we will achieve the APBN target of 610,000 bopd as presented in this graph. We are striving to increase production month by month until the end of the year. Insha Allah, the average can reach the APBN target. For gas, we tend to remain flat to meet the APBN target,” said Djoko during a working meeting with Commission VII of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) on 9 April 2026.
SKK Migas projects that the additional production from these projects in 2026 will reach 5,256 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and 227 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (MMSCFD).
