Producing 5,207 Million Cubic Feet Per Day, These Are the 'Kings' of Gas in Indonesia
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) recorded that national natural gas production up to 31 May 2026 reached 5,207 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD). This figure is equivalent to 94.5% of the target set in the 2026 State Budget (APBN), which is 5,508 MMSCFD.
Head of SKK Migas Djoko Siswanto stated that gas production performance during the first five months of this year has nearly met the government’s target. This achievement shows positive results in efforts to reach the national oil and gas production target.
“For gas, alhamdulillah we have almost reached the target, we have on average achieved 95% of the APBN target, and going forward it will continue to increase to reach the APBN target,” Djoko said during a hearing with Commission XII of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), quoted on Monday (15/6/2026).
Based on SKK Migas presentation materials, total gross national gas production (real production year to date/YTD) reached 6,550 MMSCFD. Meanwhile, the volume of gas successfully distributed reached 5,207 MMSCFD.
