Process of Appointing New Jampidsus in Final Stage, Presidential Decree to Be Signed Soon

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi has confirmed that the process of appointing a new Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) has reached its final stage. The position became vacant following the resignation of the previous incumbent, Febrie Adriansyah. Speaking at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Monday, Prasetyo explained that the Attorney General had formally submitted a proposed replacement candidate to President Prabowo Subianto. “As we conveyed a few days ago, the Attorney General has officially sent a letter to the President regarding the proposed replacement for the Jampidsus official who previously resigned,” Prasetyo stated. He noted that the proposal has been processed through the established mechanism, including review by the Final Assessment Team (TPA). “It has been processed according to the mechanism through the TPA, and God willing, it will be completed within the next few days. The Presidential Decree regarding the replacement will then be signed,” he added. Prasetyo did not disclose the identity of the candidate, asking the public to await the official issuance of the Presidential Decree.
