Probolinggo develops Duty Paiton Beach into flagship tourist attraction
Probolinggo, East Java – The Proboling regency government is developing Duty Paiton Beach as a premier tourist attraction, renowned for its natural beauty, including mangrove forests and stunning sunsets.
Heri Mullyadi, head of the Youth, Sports, and Tourism Office (Disporapar), said, “I urge the community to support the growth of local tourism by maintaining cleanliness and preserving existing destinations.” Proboling regency boasts diverse natural attractions such as mountains, waterfalls, lakes, and exotic beaches that draw tourists.
“Duty Beach in Randutatah Village, Paiton subdistrict, has become increasingly popular among visitors,” he added. The site offers a complete natural landscape, ideal for family holidays. The scenic beach, combined with a serene atmosphere, provides a unique appeal for tourists. Visitors can enjoy the waves and coastal breezes, as well as a lush pine forest and a wooden pathway through the mangrove area, creating Instagrammable spots for photos and relaxation.
The sunset views are particularly sought after, with the evening sky blending seamlessly with the ocean to create captivating scenery that encourages visitors to linger. “Let’s work together to preserve the cleanliness and beauty of Proboling regency’s tourism sites, ensuring they remain comfortable and attractive for visitors,” Mullyadi stated.
Duty Beach is also a family-friendly destination where tourists can enjoy beach activities, play in the water, and visit the busy coastal areas weekends and holidays. Facilities include restrooms, prayer rooms, rest areas, and local small and medium enterprises (UMKM) offering food and drinks. Affordable entrance fees make it a popular choice for recreation.
” The presence of this attraction demonstrates Proboling regency’s exceptional natural tourism potential, worthy of continuous development as a flagship destination,” he said. The regency government is also strengthening coastal tourism promotion through events like this year’s Seven Beach Festival, a follow-up to last year’s Seven Lakes Festival, to showcase the region’s coastal potential to a wider audience.
