The Probolinggo Customs and Excise Office has issued a business identification number for excisable goods (NPPBKC) to PR Jagad Globalinggo, a manufacturer of hand-rolled clove cigarettes (SKT), in a move to support the growth of a legal tobacco industry. PR Jagad Globalinggo is located in Muneng Village, Sumberasih District, Probolinggo Regency.

Head of the Probolinggo Customs and Excise Office, Rudie Bayu Widjatnoko, stated that the NPPBKC was officially issued on 29 June 2026 after the company fulfilled all administrative and technical requirements in accordance with excise regulations. As a form of support for business operators, Rudie symbolically handed over the NPPBKC on Tuesday (7/7/2026) at the Probolinggo Customs and Excise Office.

“The issuance of the NPPBKC is an important step in providing legal certainty for tobacco product manufacturers to operate their businesses legally,” he said.

Beyond providing business certainty, the increase in legally operating tobacco industries is expected to deliver economic benefits to the community, including job creation, increased local economic activity, and the growth of a healthy and competitive business ecosystem. Probolinggo Customs and Excise not only provides licensing services but also offers guidance and assistance to business operators to ensure continuous compliance with excise regulations. This approach is part of the agency’s commitment to creating a conducive business climate while improving business compliance levels. Through the issuance of the NPPBKC to PR Jagad Globalinggo, Probolinggo Customs and Excise reaffirmed its role in facilitating ease of doing business and supporting the growth of a legal and competitive tobacco industry that provides tangible benefits to the regional economy and community welfare.
