Pro-Prabowo Rally at Jakarta's Patung Kuda Disperses, Traffic Returns to Normal

The Merdeka Farmers Group and the All-Indonesia Market Traders Association (APPSI) held a protest rally in the Patung Kuda area of Central Jakarta. The crowd has now dispersed.

Based on monitoring at the location on Friday (19/6/2026), the crowd began to disperse around 10:00 WIB. They walked towards Gambir as the rally concluded.

Police subsequently reopened Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan from the Patung Kuda direction towards Gambir. The road had previously been closed due to the demonstration.

Traffic around the area is now observed to be flowing smoothly. Two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles can travel at normal speeds.

Earlier, the Merdeka Farmers Group and the All-Indonesia Market Traders Association (APPSI) staged a rally in the Patung Kuda area, Central Jakarta. They demonstrated their support for President Prabowo Subianto.

“Today’s action saw us mobilise around 7,000 comrades from Greater Jakarta. We brought down farmers and traders from about eight regencies and cities. This action is a form of our support for President Prabowo Subianto,” said Don Muzakir, General Chairman of the DPN Tani Merdeka, at the location.

Muzakir stated that farmers are feeling the benefits of the programmes championed by Prabowo. Traders, according to him, are experiencing market price stability.

“The comrades on the ground today, farmers and traders, have been greatly helped. Economically, their situation has improved, and their incomes have also increased with the setting of grain prices, corn prices, and the absorption of their harvests into the MBG programme. And traders today are also feeling the stability of goods prices in the market,” he said.
