Pro-Palestine Demonstration to Take Place at Monas in Central Jakarta This Afternoon

JAKARTA - A demonstration titled “Bela Palestina” will be held at the southeast intersection of Monas, Gambir, Central Jakarta, on Friday (15/5/2026) at 13:00 WIB. The demonstration is being organised by several groups of students and university students. “At 13:00 WIB, there will be a protest from the Aliansi Pemuda Indonesia Untuk Palestina (API Palestina), Indonesia Student For Justice In Palestine (SJP), Forum Komunikasi Mahasiswa Bela Palestina,” said Erlyn in a written statement on Friday. Meanwhile, traffic engineering at the demonstration site will be carried out situationally, taking into account the number of participants on the ground. She urged the public to avoid the area around the protest to anticipate traffic congestion. “Residents can seek other alternative routes during the protest,” Erlyn stated.
