Pro-Investment Policy Still Doubted
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Investors who attended the Indonesia Infrastructure Conference & Exhibition (IICE) 2006 remain doubtful over the government’s pro-investment policy.
According to Hisnu Pawenang, Head of the Agency for Supervising Toll Roads (BJPT) at the Department of Public Works, this doubt was the foremost during the three-day event last week.
“Doubts exist, especially concerning implementation at a grass roots level,” said Diak yesterday (11/5) in Jakarta.
“In addition, implementation is sometimes inconsistent.”
Hisnu also acknowledged that readiness for acting upon the pro-investment policy was not yet fully in the hands of the BJPT.
The government, according to him, is also aware of investors' doubts.
