The involvement of the private sector is strengthening the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme in various regions. This support is considered crucial for expanding the reach while improving the efficiency of nutritional aid distribution for children.

Head of the National Nutrition Agency Dadan Hindayana stated that MBG is a strategic step by the government to enhance human resource quality from an early age. The programme targets a large number of beneficiaries with long-term impacts on the health and productivity of the younger generation.

“Support from the private sector is a strengthening factor in field implementation, particularly for expanding reach and improving distribution efficiency,” said Dadan on Wednesday (18/3/2026).

Dadan assessed that cross-sector collaboration reflects solidarity in building future human resource quality. According to him, fulfilling children’s nutrition will have a direct impact on education quality and long-term productivity. “This is a shared interest,” Dadan continued.

Dadan explained that the implementation of MBG in several regions has shown positive results. The programme encourages increased student attendance, more active learning activities, and improved physical resilience in children.

“Once there’s a nutritious meal programme, they wake up earlier and wake up their grandmother,” said Dadan.

Private sector support is also present through the Sehati or Nutritious Healthy Milk programme run by PT Triputra Agro Persada Tbk. This programme distributes milk to schoolchildren in the areas around the company’s operations in Jambi, Central Kalimantan, and East Kalimantan.

The Sehati programme is part of TAP’s sustainability initiative for the Nation, focusing on improving the health and education of the younger generation. Regular milk distribution is intended to help meet nutritional needs, prevent stunting, and support the growth and development of school-age children.

“I like drinking milk; besides tasting good, it also makes me stronger for studying and playing football. Thank you, TAP,” said Antonius, a student at SDN 2 Jahitan, Seruyan, Central Kalimantan.

Head of TK Tunas Bahandep Misnawati said the programme helps improve nutritional intake while demonstrating the company’s concern for children’s education.

The implementation of this programme also involves various parties to ensure smooth and targeted distribution. Cross-sector synergy is considered the key to the success of MBG implementation in the regions.

Commander of Kodam VI/Mulawarman Major General TNI Rudy Rachmat Nugraha appreciated the collaboration. According to him, this cooperation strengthens food security, supports education, and improves community welfare.
