Prince's Cliff Access Linking Bandung-Sumedang Cut Off by Landslide

A landslide disaster occurred in the Cadas Pangeran area, Sumedang Regency, West Java, on Wednesday (8/4). The landslide material severed the main arterial road connecting Bandung and Sumedang. Information gathered indicates the landslide happened on Wednesday afternoon when the area was hit by fairly heavy rain. Footage of the landslide moments was recorded by residents passing through the location. In the video circulating on social media, the landslide material covered the entire road. It is not yet known if there were any fatalities in the incident. When confirmed, the Head of the Sumedang Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), Bambang Rianto, confirmed the matter. “The cleanup work is still awaiting commands from the field officers,” Bambang said briefly, when contacted. Traffic Diversion For vehicle traffic, Bambang mentioned that a temporary diversion is currently in place. “Meanwhile, traffic flow from Bandung (to Sumedang) is directed to the Pamulihan Toll Road,” Bambang said.
