Prince Andrew arrives in RP
MANILA (AFP): Britain's Prince Andrew, the Duke of York,
arrived in the Philippines on Thursday for a three-day visit as
part of a tour of Southeast Asia.
The prince made no statement as he disembarked from a small
plane at the Philippine air force headquarters to military
honors. He was met there by air force chief Lt. Gen. Benjamin
Defensor and trade secretary Manuel Roxas.
During his stay the prince, a Royal Navy officer, will visit
the Philippine navy headquarters and call on President Gloria
Arroyo, a British Embassy statement said.
He will also visit a British school in a Manila suburb and a
natural gas project off the western island of Palawan.
