Jakarta (ANTARA) – Prime Video is set to launch a number of new titles on its paid streaming platform from Asian countries, including Japan, Korea, and India, as part of Prime Video Presents: International Originals.

Gaurav Gandhi, Vice President, APAC & ANZ, Prime Video, said that the preview highlights some of the compelling Asian content that will be available on the service in 2026, with the full line-up to be announced in the coming months.

“Content from Japan, Korea, and India is now emerging as a significant cultural force in global entertainment, driven by stories that are emotionally authentic and relevant to audiences beyond their home markets. With strong audience momentum and deep partnerships with creators in the region, this 2026 line-up reaffirms our long-term commitment to bringing Asian stories to the global stage,” said Gaurav in a press statement received in Jakarta on Wednesday.

As anime continues to grow rapidly in popularity globally, Prime Video is reaffirming its ambition to be the leading destination for high-quality anime content through a carefully curated selection of titles, aimed at both loyal fans and new viewers.

The line-up also includes “The Ghost In The Shell”, an influential cyberpunk series that explores the intersection of humanity and technology in a highly integrated 2029 metropolis, which will be available on Prime Video worldwide, excluding Russia and China.

And “From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman” Season Two, which follows the success of Season One, which was a Top 10 Prime Video title in more than 45 countries.

Prime Video is also further deepening this commitment with a significant addition to its Korean content catalogue, bringing stories that are deeply rooted in Korean culture to audiences around the world.

“See You at Work Tomorrow!” explores workplace romance, while “Love in Disguise”, starring Yim Siwan, responds to the growing demand for cross-genre stories.

For viewers looking for epic and grand-scale stories, “The Sacred Jewel” (working title) presents a historical drama set against the backdrop of the Mongol invasion of Goryeo.

Prime Video Presents: International Originals also features a special preview of “Don’t Be Shy”, an upcoming Indian Original film – a young-adult coming-of-age drama with a female perspective, written and directed by Sreeti Mukerji and produced by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt under Eternal Sunshine Productions.

The event reaffirms Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios’ commitment to international stories that resonate globally, the ever-expanding line-up of popular global titles, and the continued investment in talent and creators who bring locally rooted stories to the world stage.
