JAKARTA — Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung officially opened the Prime Ramadhan Jakarta 2026 bazaar in the courtyard of Jakarta City Hall, Central Jakarta, on Monday (9 March 2026).

During the event, the Jakarta Provincial Government provided 3,000 affordable food packages for residents.

“Today at City Hall we have the Prime Ramadhan Jakarta 2026 bazaar running for two days, from 9 to 10 March. I also saw several vendors operating here,” Pramono said at Jakarta City Hall on Monday (9 March 2026).

Various products are being sold, ranging from children’s and adult clothing, Islamic fashion, headscarves, table cloths, to food, beverages, and essential commodities.

Pramono toured the bazaar stalls and purchased a sarong being sold at the location. He said he was looking for a sarong with a specific pattern.

“I bought a sarong on purpose. This colour is what I have been looking for, and it happens to be available,” he said.

He explained that the bazaar involves several municipal enterprises, including Food Station Tjipinang Jaya, Perumda Dharma Jaya, and Perumda Pasar Jaya.

Additionally, transactions at the bazaar are conducted digitally using the QRIS payment system supported by Bank DKI.

“There are 3,000 packages here, priced at Rp100,000 but with an actual value of Rp150,000,” he said.

He expressed hope that the programme would help residents obtain essential goods at more affordable prices during Ramadan.

During the event, he also spoke with several residents who attended.

“I asked where they came from, and they generally travelled quite far to reach City Hall. This means they came specifically, probably using public transport,” Pramono said.

He added that some residents present were also recipients of assistance from the Jakarta Provincial Government, such as beneficiaries of the Smart Jakarta Card programme and the free public transport scheme.

Going forward, similar Ramadan bazaars will not only be held at City Hall.

“They will also be held at the offices of the city mayors and the regent of the Thousand Islands,” Pramono said.
