Primary school pupil dies after being found drenched in blood in West Bandung Regency, body covered in stab wounds

West Java police reported that a primary school pupil identified by the initials ASA (12) was found dead, drenched in blood, at their home in Kampung Warung Tiwu, RT 02/16, Cipatat Village, Cipatat District, Bandung Barat Regency, on Tuesday (3 March 2026). Investigators from the Cimahi Police Resort’s Criminal Investigation Unit (Inafis) found several wounds on the victim’s body consistent with stab injuries. The wound on the neck, and then the back wounds were the most numerous, said Cipatat Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Iwan Setiawan, at the scene on Tuesday (3 March 2026).

The child, who was in Year 6 at SDN 1 Sukarame Cipatat, was first found by their mother around 4.00 pm WIB. The mother had just returned after completing her routine activities, including working and teaching Quranic recitation (ngaji) nearby.

‘So the mother entered the house after teaching (ngaji), then she looked for her child because they usually greet,’ the witness went upstairs, checked the bathroom and found the child was not there. She searched for the child on the upper floor; there was a bed overturned; after it was opened the victim was found lifeless,’ said Iwan.
