PRIMA Chairman Agus Jabo Urges Cadres to Support Government's Pro-people Programmes

Chairman of the Just and Prosperous People’s Party (PRIMA) Agus Jabo Priyono has called on all party cadres to oversee the pro-people programmes being implemented by the government of President Prabowo Subianto. According to him, several current government policies are in line with the direction of PRIMA’s political struggle. This was conveyed by Agus Jabo whilst opening a Coordination Meeting with the party’s Regional Leadership Councils (DPW) and Branch Leadership Councils (DPC), which was held online today. Agus Jabo also reiterated PRIMA’s identity as a party born from ordinary people. Therefore, he urged all cadres to continue making the interests of the public the main orientation of the party’s political struggle. ‘Our party is a party of ordinary people born from the spirit of ordinary people. Our hearts are with ordinary people and our spirit is to fight for ordinary people,’ Agus Jabo said in a written statement on Saturday (4/7/2026). He explained that PRIMA has nine struggle agendas, namely equitable tax reform, national industrialisation, strengthening food sovereignty, empowering MSMEs and cooperatives, clean and efficient governance, participatory democracy, gender equality, ecological justice, and human resource development. According to Agus Jabo, a number of these agendas are beginning to be reflected in various government programmes, including the Free Nutritious Meals programme, People’s Schools, the Merah Putih Village Cooperatives, industrial downstreaming, and efforts to strengthen national food security. ‘Our political programme is currently being worked on and fought for by President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Therefore, our task is to oversee and win this struggle,’ he said. On the occasion, Agus Jabo also conveyed his views on the direction of change taking place under the Prabowo administration. He described the change as a revolution aimed at restoring state policies to favour the people and be based on the mandate of Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution. He assessed that this change would face challenges from various groups that have so far benefited from the existing economic system. For this reason, Agus Jabo asked PRIMA cadres to strengthen organisational consolidation whilst actively conveying the party’s ideas through various communication channels, including social media. Looking ahead to the 2029 General Election, Agus Jabo stressed that PRIMA must maintain its character as a movement party that works for the interests of the people. ‘If given the opportunity to lead later, it is not to seek positions, money, or projects, but to liberate the Indonesian people from all forms of oppression so that this nation becomes a sovereign, just, and prosperous nation,’ he concluded.
