Prices of Rice, Shallots, Beef, and Sugar Rise; Check the Full List

The National Strategic Food Price Information Centre (PIHPS) reported that the price of lower-quality rice I rose by Rp 50 to Rp 14,850 per kg, followed by lower-quality rice II which increased by Rp 400 to Rp 15,000 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of medium-quality rice I fell by Rp 400 to Rp 16,000 per kg, and medium-quality rice II decreased by Rp 150 to Rp 16,050 per kg. Furthermore, the price of super-quality rice I increased by Rp 300 to Rp 18,000 per kg, while super-quality rice II dropped by Rp 450 to Rp 16,700 per kg.

In other commodities, the price of medium-sized shallots rose by Rp 1,150 to Rp 40,700 per kg, and the price of medium-sized garlic increased by Rp 1,500 to Rp 42,650 per kg. Conversely, the price of purebred chicken eggs fell by Rp 2,450 to Rp 27,050 per kg, and fresh chicken meat also decreased by Rp 650 to Rp 39,600 per kg.

For chillies, the price of large red chillies fell by Rp 750 to Rp 47,600 per kg, and curly red chillies dropped by Rp 2,100 to Rp 46,850 per kg. The price of green bird’s eye chillies decreased by Rp 4,050 to Rp 47,900 per kg, while the price of red bird’s eye chillies rose by Rp 2,500 to Rp 61,250 per kg. The price of quality I beef increased by Rp 750 to Rp 151,750 per kg, and quality II beef rose by Rp 3,750 to Rp 145,950 per kg. For sugar, the price of premium granulated sugar increased by Rp 300 to Rp 20,600 per kg, whilst local granulated sugar fell by Rp 550 to Rp 18,500 per kg. Lastly, the price of bulk cooking oil rose by Rp 650 to Rp 21,150 per litre, branded cooking oil I fell by Rp 200 to Rp 24,100 per litre, and branded cooking oil II also fell by Rp 200 to Rp 23,300 per litre.
