Priced at Just Rp 155 Million, Wuling Aira EV Sees Strong Order Demand

Wuling has shaken up the national automotive market with the release of the Wuling Aira EV, priced at Rp 155 million and Rp 175 million last week. Just days later, sales have already reached thousands of units. Wuling sales staff revealed that public interest in their latest electric car is considerably high, as seen from the number of Vehicle Order Letters (SPK), which are claimed to have reached around 1,000 units during the initial offering period.

The enthusiasm means some prospective customers will have to be patient if they want a particular colour. Unit availability differs for each colour option, so delivery times may vary.

“That’s right, the SPK is already around 1,000,” a Wuling salesperson told CNBC Indonesia on Tuesday (4/8/2026).

According to the salesperson, customers who want their unit sooner are advised to choose black, as it is already in stock. Other colour options may require a longer waiting time, although administrative processes are usually carried out simultaneously during the indent period.

“The black ones are ready. But certain colours usually involve a bit of a wait. While you’re waiting, the administration is processed, so the unit comes straight away,” they said.

Beyond delivery times, Wuling is also offering three colour options for customers to choose from according to their taste, each with a different appearance, particularly in the body colour combinations.

“There are three: blue, cream white and black. With black, the two-tone effect doesn’t really show,” they said.

The pricing programme currently on offer still uses an early bird scheme, meaning customers who place their orders earlier are said to have a chance of securing a shorter queue.

“Later we can process it straight away because this is still the pre-book or early bird price, so the queue won’t be too long,” they said.
