Price Leak for Omoway OMO-X Electric Motorcycle, Offering Competitive Pricing

Singapore, Kompas.com — Electric motorcycle manufacturer Omoway has begun providing guidance on the OMO-X pricing strategy ahead of reservations opening in April 2026.

The OMO-X has attracted significant attention due to its self-balancing technology and sophisticated active safety features, which are notably advanced for the electric motorcycle segment, particularly in Indonesia.

General Manager for the Indonesian Market Yulong Chen stated that since its initial introduction, numerous prospective consumers have been curious about the motorcycle’s price point. This curiosity has been heightened given its considerably more complex technology compared to conventional electric motorcycles.

According to him, some consumers are hoping the motorcycle will be significantly more affordable. “If it were 60 million rupiah, could it be 30 million? There are possibilities,” he said.

Yulong acknowledged that the official price for the Omoway OMO-X remains confidential. However, he assured that the company is working to deliver advanced technology at a reasonable price point.

He added that excessively high pricing would hinder the adoption of new technology in the market. “If the price is too high, who would want to buy it,” he said.

In addition to the OMO-X, Omoway is also preparing a second model that will be released this year at a more affordable price point. “This year we are ready with Omoway’s second model, and the price will be even lower,” Yulong said.

Yulong stated that reservations for the OMO-X are scheduled to open in April 2026.
