Previously Reshuffled by Prabowo, Abdul Kadir Karding Makes "Comeback" as Head of Quarantine Agency

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto has officially inaugurated Abdul Kadir Karding as the Head of the Quarantine Agency.

Kompas.com observations at the Palace in Jakarta on Monday (27/4/2026) showed Karding wearing a black suit and light blue tie, alongside other officials to be inaugurated.

Karding’s inauguration was carried out based on Presidential Decree 50/TPA of 2026 on the Dismissal and Appointment From and Into High-Level Leadership Positions within the Quarantine Agency.

“Appointing Abdul Kadir Karding as Head of the Quarantine Agency,” stated the event host.

“Established in Jakarta, 27 April 2026, President Prabowo Subianto,” he continued.

Previously, Karding had served as Minister of Protection for Indonesian Migrant Workers in Prabowo’s cabinet.

Then, Karding was reshuffled by Prabowo.

His position as Minister of PPMI was replaced by Golkar politician Mukhtarudin.

Now, Karding has made a comeback to the cabinet as Head of the Quarantine Agency.
