Preventive Health a Priority, Flexible Financing Helps Expand Access to Vaccinations
Public awareness of the importance of maintaining health before falling ill continues to grow. Beyond adopting healthy lifestyles, preventive healthcare services such as vaccination and laboratory testing are increasingly viewed as long-term investments in quality of life that also reduce the risk of future disease.
On the other hand, the cost of healthcare services remains a consideration for many people seeking vaccination or routine health screening. This has prompted the emergence of various financing schemes offering payment flexibility, making preventive healthcare services more accessible.
One effort to widen access has been undertaken by PT Indodana Multi Finance (Indodana Finance) through a dedicated financing programme using Indodana PayLater for laboratory testing and vaccination services across the Kimia Farma Laboratorium & Klinik network.
Director of Indodana Finance Iwan Dewanto said vaccination is a form of health investment delivering long-term benefits, and therefore needs to be supported with practical and flexible financing access.
“We believe that preventive measures such as vaccination are the most valuable long-term investment for people’s quality of life. Through the special offers from Indodana PayLater at Kimia Farma Laboratorium & Klinik, we are providing flexible and practical financing solutions so that users need not postpone vital health protection for themselves and their families,” Iwan said in a written statement on Wednesday (8 July).
The collaboration between Indodana Finance and PT Kimia Farma Diagnostika is expected to widen public access to preventive healthcare through more flexible payment options at more than 450 Kimia Farma Laboratorium & Klinik outlets across Indonesia.
President Director of PT Kimia Farma Diagnostika, Arie Genipa Suhendi, said payment convenience can help people obtain vaccination and health screening services without having to delay their healthcare protection needs.
“We warmly welcome this collaboration with Indodana PayLater as a concrete step to widen public access to preventive healthcare services. With the support of flexible payment options at more than 450 Kimia Farma Laboratorium & Klinik outlets across Indonesia, we hope people can more easily get vaccinated and undergo health checks without postponing health protection needs for themselves and their families,” he said.
Arie added that this synergy forms part of the company’s commitment to delivering increasingly accessible healthcare services while supporting the creation of a healthier, more resilient and more productive Indonesian society.
Under the programme, which runs from 30 June to 31 December 2026, Indodana PayLater users can take advantage of various offers for laboratory testing and vaccination services at Kimia Farma Laboratorium & Klinik, including discounts of up to 50 per cent, zero per cent instalments, and one instalment waived, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
The programme also covers financing for several premium vaccinations, such as the nine-strain Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine to help prevent cervical cancer, the Herpes Zoster vaccine to prevent shingles, the Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever (DHF) vaccine, and Pneumonia vaccines (PCV 13 and PCV 20).
The ease of financing access is expected to support broader uptake of preventive healthcare services, enabling people to sustainably maintain their own and their families’ health.
Through this collaboration, Indodana Finance and Kimia Farma Diagnostika hope more people will be encouraged to take preventive steps early through vaccination and health screening.
